WN-Series® Wood Nailer Joists are hybrid steel-and-wood structural members designed for roof systems that require wood decking over steel framing. These open web steel joists incorporate continuous wood nailers along the top chord, joined with glued finger joint splices to maintain structural continuity along the full joist length. Available in multiple profiles and end configurations, the system supports a wide range of spans, depths, and roof slopes. This design approach provides an integrated solution that combines the structural efficiency of steel joists with the installation practicality of wood nailer surfaces.
