M-BLOC® Abuse Resistant Type X Gypsum Board

The panels are used in commercial and institutional interior walls and ceilings where increased resistance to abrasion, impact, and moisture is required, and may also serve as a tile base in limited wet areas.

M-Bloc® AR Type X interior gypsum panels are engineered to provide enhanced resistance to mold, moisture, abrasion, abuse, and indentation compared to traditional gypsum wallboard. The panels feature a Type X, abuse-resistant gypsum core encased in heavy abrasion-resistant blue face paper and brown back paper manufactured from 100% recycled material. Independent laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM standards confirms high mold resistance performance, making the panels suitable for demanding interior environments. The panels are UL classified and approved for use in fire-rated assemblies where 5/8” Type X gypsum wallboard is specified.
