Armatherm™ CIS is a structural thermal break system for cast-in-place concrete that reduces thermal bridging while maintaining structural performance.
Armatherm™ CIS is used in cast-in-place concrete slab and wall connections—such as balconies, parapets, and structural penetrations—to reduce heat loss, prevent condensation, and improve building envelope performance.
Armatherm™ Cast-In-Situ (CIS) Structural Thermal Break is designed to reduce thermal bridging in cast-in-place concrete elements such as balconies, parapets, and concrete slab connections. As modern building envelopes become more insulated and airtight, untreated concrete penetrations can significantly reduce overall wall performance and contribute to heat loss and condensation. Armatherm™ CIS integrates structural load transfer with thermal insulation by combining a high-performance insulation body, stainless steel reinforcement, and concrete compression modules. The system is engineered to improve thermal performance while maintaining structural integrity and supporting compliance with modern building codes and sustainability standards.
