Application

AP™ Foil25 is used as continuous insulation in exterior wall assemblies, including below-grade residential applications and commercial projects requiring higher compressive strength for exterior cladding systems.

Description

Johns Manville AP™ Foil25 Polyiso Continuous Insulation is a rigid insulation board engineered to deliver thermal performance and integrated environmental control within building envelope assemblies. Featuring a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to foil facers on both sides, this 25-psi compressive strength board is designed for applications that require added durability and load resistance. When properly installed, AP Foil25 functions as a water-resistive barrier, vapor barrier, and air barrier, supporting efficient and reliable construction across residential and commercial projects.

Features and Benefits:

  • High Compressive Strength – 25-psi rating supports exterior cladding systems and below-grade applications.
  • High Thermal Efficiency – Polyisocyanurate provides one of the highest R-values per inch among rigid insulation products.
  • Integrated Water-Resistive Barrier – Meets ICC-ES AC71 acceptance criteria when installed correctly.
  • Vapor Control – Acts as a Class I vapor retarder to help manage moisture migration.
  • Air Barrier Performance – Meets Air Barrier Association of America boardstock requirements when properly installed.
  • Closed-Cell Foam Core – Enhances durability and moisture resistance.
  • Noncorrosive Material – Will not accelerate corrosion of pipes, wiring, or metal framing.
  • Versatile Applications – Suitable for both residential and commercial construction where higher strength insulation is required.
