Intelligent Membranes develops high-performance liquid-applied membrane systems that seal the building envelope against air leakage, smoke, moisture and ground gases. Our products are used across residential, commercial and retrofit construction to deliver energy-efficient, durable and code-compliant buildings.

At the core of the range is Passive Purple, a Passivhaus Institute Class A certified, ICC-ES evaluated (ESR-4715) liquid-applied air barrier and vapor control layer for interior application. Spray, roller or brush applied, it cures to a seamless, elastomeric, smoke-tight membrane that stops air leakage at every junction, penetration and change of substrate, while also performing as a continuous radon and methane barrier where ground gas protection is required. Tested to ASTM E84, it carries a Class B fire rating and is proven on brick, block, concrete, timber, OSB, plasterboard and steel.

Passive Purple External brings the same smoke-tight air barrier performance to the outside of the building, providing a weather-resistive, Class B fire-rated continuous air barrier across facades and sheathing that ties directly into the internal system for a fully sealed envelope inside and out.

The wider range includes Airtight White, our interior vapor control layer, along with liquid waterproofing systems for roofs, floors and wet areas.

Compared with sheet membranes and tapes, our liquid-applied systems simplify detailing, cut installation time and guarantee continuity across complex geometry, with no laps, seams or mechanical fixings to fail.
